Sequential Guess Student Instructions

• A jar contains only blue and red balls
• Half of the time the jar contains mostly red balls. Half of the time the jar contains mostly blue.
• Each member of your group guesses, in a randomly determined order, whether the jar contains mostly blue or mostly red balls.
• When it is your time to guess:
• You see the guess of each group member who chose before you.
• You pick 1 ball at random, see its color, and put back the ball.
• You choose “mostly red” or “mostly blue”
• You win a prize if your guess is correct. You win nothing if your guess is incorrect.

• The choices of those choosing before you are indicated at the top of your screen.
• To pick one ball from the jar an see its color, click the jar.
• Click the red button to choose “mostly red”; click the blue button to choose “mostly blue”.
• You learn whether your guess is correct when all members of your group have chosen.
